Finally work began on the construction of the new Portadown Boat Clubhouse. The contractor, Mascot Construction, moved in on Monday 13th December and promptly demolished the old club house. The site was cleared of all debris and the piling contractor, Roger Bullivant, arrived the following Monday to begin work on the foundations. Alas the recent artic conditions put paid to any work being carried out so we hope that the piling can recommence after the Christmas break.
